Copy trading pump.fun coins on the bonding curve

Most pump.fun coins are bought while they are still on the bonding curve, before they graduate to a pool. That's where the best entries are, and the worst losses. Here is how FOCO copies trades there, and the rules that keep fresh launches from eating your account.

What the bonding curve is

Every pump.fun coin starts on a bonding curve: its price rises as people buy and falls as they sell, with no pool behind it yet. When enough has been bought, the curve completes and the coin graduates to PumpSwap, pump.fun’s exchange, where it trades in a pool like any other coin.

Bought straight on the curve

When a trader you copy buys a coin that is still on its curve, FOCO buys it for you on the curve too, from your own Solana trading wallet, within a couple of seconds of their trade reaching it. Every transaction is simulated and checked before FOCO signs it.

Graduation doesn't strand your copy

When the coin graduates, FOCO trades it on PumpSwap from then on. A copy bought on the curve sells there by your take-profits, stops or the trader’s sells, the same way it would have before.

Rules for fresh launches

  • Keep every copy small: most curve coins never graduate, and one fixed amount per copy keeps a miss small.
  • Price run-up: a few seconds on a hot curve can move the price a lot. Skip buys that already ran too far past the trader’s price.
  • Market cap and age: decide whether you want the first minutes of a launch or coins that already survived a while.
  • Take profits early: selling part on the first spike turns it into money before it fades.

The risks

Curve coins are the riskiest coins there are. Creators and early buyers can sell into you, a coin can stop trading as fast as it started, and a stop loss can’t save you from a price that collapses in one block. Only copy with money you can afford to lose.

Questions

Does FOCO wait for graduation before buying?
No. When the trader buys on the curve, FOCO buys on the curve too. After graduation it trades the coin on PumpSwap.
What happens to my copy when the coin graduates?
Nothing changes for you: it keeps its rules and sells on PumpSwap when they say so.
Is buying on the curve riskier?
Yes. Most curve coins fail, and fast ones move before any copy can land. Keep copies small and start on paper.
